Worms! is track number 5 on Worms!. It is narrated by Sandra Moreno, but lyrically from the point of view of Sam Whistler.

I know my heart's beating

I know it's hard to breathe right now.

Unveiling golden lies behind sacred eyes.

Sam is beginning to suffer from a panic attack due to his mental distortions revealing truths about him that he chooses to deny.

Digestion of the body

Who has chosen to return to the dirt.

Repentance, but the angels keep preaching.

'Bout how I won't get to heaven.

Although Sam is a Robot and can not technically decay, the lyric represents the emotional turmoil he experiences due to his choices to "return to the dirt", or live an unsanctimonious life. He suffers the judgement of Samuel, Himself. He feels this judgement deep within his ego, he hears the Angels preach about how he can't be salvaged.

Impressions of decay as

Insects are burrowing into my spine.

Dependence, there is nothing to hide.

In time, we all give into pressure.

The lyrics invoke imagery of decay. Sam is watching himself rot. His visions are induced by Samuel, Himself, but not really happening.

Sam snaps out of his haze, he is back at work. Mary Granfors is speaking to him. He has to act normal, like nothing ever happened. After all, his experience was a creation of his own mind, right?
